Paypal will not let me add my VCC to my account?

I don't know if you have any experience with these VCC's but unfortunately you can't just add them as a payment card to your own Paypal account, well we couldn't anyway. Upon researching this on Google it said that these VCC's couldn't be added into Paypal.

We needed a way of getting the money from the VCC into our Paypal account so we decided to create this page to help others wanting to do the same.


Paypal fees differ slightly depending on your country, in the US it's 2.9% + $0.30. Here in Ireland it's 3.4% + €0.35 so you have to bear in mind that you won't get precisely the full amount of money that you have on your VCC returned back to your own Paypal address.



We discovered this when checking the online VCC account. For example we had a €50 VCC and attempted to 'donate' €50 which didn't work. Upon looking at the payment history we noticed a VCC request of €52.05 and obviously there wasn't sufficient funds for that to go through.

In addition to the initial Paypal charge, we will also get charged sending the payment back into your Paypal account. So please understand this before you proceed.

 Here's a quick example of the fee's for a €50 donation.. €50 VCC = €1.70 (3.4% of €50) + €0.30 = €2.00 Paypal transaction fee #1 then there is a second charge in sending that payment to your own Paypal account. €48 = €1.63 (3.4% of €48) + €0.30 = €1.93 Paypal transaction fee #2. Therefore total amount from a €50 VCC back into your own Paypal account is €46.07. 

 Here's what you need to do..
  1. Click on our 'Donate' button below,
  2. Paypal will open in this browser window,
  3. Enter an amount and then select the 'Donate with a Debit or Credit Card' button,
  4. Fill in your card details, address and contact details (Required by Paypal),
  5. Click the 'Agree & Donate Now' button,
  6. Your donation will occur and we will be notified by email,
  7. We will then forward your payment from our Paypal account to the email address that you input when you filled in your contact details.
  8. Write us a comment below, include your initial 'donation' amount and the amount we transferred back to you to prove that we are not scamming!

    Using your online VCC website to check each transaction(s) to then calculate the correct amount to 'donate', note third time lucky!

    Now I can calculate the percentage, which is 4.9% so you have to 'donate' slightly less than you actually have on your prepaid VCC.

    Then after Paypal takes their cut(s) one for the payment processor and another one from you. You can see that €43.66 get returned. In total, you lose €6.32 due in fees. However it's the best way to get cash out of a VCC that I'm aware of.
